Internet

You can connect Dahdidahdit to other parties using the MOPP protocol introduced by Morserino. This way, you can use your local WLAN to send Morse code to fellow Dahdidahdit or Morserino users or to internet services like qsobot.online. The downside: this is best enjoyed using a hardware key or paddles. The upside: it could not be more fun!

Server list

In the server list, you can store server addresses along with a short description. There are two internet servers preconfigured.

Adding a new address is initiated by tapping the Plus icon on the lower right. It opens a short form with fields for address and description. You can also enter broadcast addresses such as 255.255.255.255 or 192.168.0.255. In this case, the MOPP packages containing the Morse code are sent to all parties on the local network. Don’t worry: machines not interested in MOPP will not be affected.

You can delete a list item by long-pressing the item and then confirming the deletion.

Connect to a configured address by tapping on the item.

Morse chat view

The further usage of the internet Morse connection is just like with the Brass pounder.

There are some additions, though:

  • The „eye“ icon in the upper right serves to hide the decoded text so you can try to (head) copy it yourself and only reveal the text if you need help.
  • You can start a match of Morse Tennis using the corresponding menu item.
